Diamondback 2012 Overdrive Comp 29'er Mountain Bike (Grey) has a few upgrades over the 2011 model, an improved fork/shock. I spent a long time researching hardtail 29er bikes and I am very happy to buy this XC bike replaced a 13yo TREK 6500. I ride the bike from asphalt, trails, open forest, and back every moment.

* I buy this cheaper 29er from Amazon. the bike comes in a box and you will be doing the final assembly. Assembling the bike is more complicated than road bikes.
* Components are good, but not the best. The saddle is a bit hard
* Rolls over everything in its path and the climbing is faster than my old dual suspension. Handles exceptionally well.
* The 29er shifts very well and accurately.
* I am disappointed that the bike comes with a cheap seat.
